On Friday, December 4 the beautiful carved front doors of Hammond-Harwood House will be opened and guests will be welcomed into the house to be the first to see the decorated rooms.
The party will continue in the historic kitchen, where delectable festive and historic treats can be paired with a variety of fine wines and wassail.
A variety of festive boxwood greens will be available for purchase. Decorate your home for the holidays with our festive Boxwood Collection, crafted from boxwood grown in the historic Hammond-Harwood House garden! In the spring of 1825 Mrs. Frances Loockerman decided to create a very special boxwood garden behind her mansion on Maryland Avenue. The “box walk” was planted in the shape of a heart. Since 1953 the museum’s many volunteers have created special holiday boxwood wreaths.
Wreaths are limited in number. To make sure you can get the one you want, you can order online or call ahead to reserve a custom wreath.
